文化経済学, 文化経済学会＜日本＞, Japan Association for Cultural Economics, 1巻, 2号, 掲載ページ 65-73, 出版日 1998年10月, 査読付, 本研究は、Jリーグクラブチームの設置による地域活性化の可能性を確かめるものである。鹿島町は鹿島臨海工業地帯として発展し、経済的基盤は確立されたが、人々の地域生活を豊かなものにするインフラは必ずしも充分ではなかった。このために、鹿島町は隣接する市町村と鹿島臨海工業地帯の企業とともに鹿島アントラーズFCを設立した。1993年に開始されたJリーグは、日本全体に大きなインパクトを与えた。本研究は、鹿島町の人々の生活にも大きな影響を与えていることを確認した。

JOURNAL OF SPORT MANAGEMENT, HUMAN KINETICS PUBL INC, 12巻, 1号, 掲載ページ 63-75, 出版日 1998年01月, 査読付, The purpose of this study was to assess the extent to which the Japanese sport industry was affected by business fluctuations in the domestic economy during the 1986-1993 business cycle. In addition, the relations between changes in the general economy (gross domestic product, combined sector in the economic activities, family income, Living expenditures, and working hours) and the value of the sport industry were investigated. The annual figures for these variables were derived from several government and nongovernment publications, and the percentage changes in these variables were used in multiple regression analysis. Analysis indicated that the trend in value of the sport industry was affected by the fluctuations and demonstrated positive correlation with the changes in the combined sector in the general economy. However, the trend in value of the spelt industry was not correlated with trends in family income or living expenditures during the period under observation. Subsequent analysis of the sportswear sector in the sport industry demonstrated negative correlation with working hours.

スポーツ産業学研究、日本スポーツ産業学会, Japan Society of Sports Industry, 5巻, 1号, 掲載ページ 1-11, 出版日 1995年03月, 査読付, A great number of investigations on job satisfaction have been achieved but relatively few of these studies were conducted in sport management. This study examined job satisfaction and characteristics of commercial fitness club employees. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness, such as service qualities and corporate excellences that were evaluated by the employees. Subjects were collected by mail, and 222 usable questionnaires were returned, for a response rate of 67.3%. The sample data of only full-time employees (include managerial personnel) were used in the following satatistical procedure(meandifferent test). The results of this study indicated that higher satisfied group and lower one on three job satisfaction scores each(training, job toughness, achievement motivation) differed significantly in regard to the service qualities. The further analysis also indicated that the above two groups on each job satisfaction scores except only two items(working hours a day, commute convenience) differed significantly in regard to the corporate excellences.
