Face to face group discussion exercise support system

Proceedings of the 21st International Conference on Computers in Education, ICCE 2013, UHAMKA PRESS, 216-221, 2013, To help students solve exercise problems on information modeling systems, we introduced face-to-face group discussions during which each group member explains his or her own solution, and then all members explore a solution as a group. Improved motivation levels, and other beneficial effects, were observed in participants following their completion of discussion exercises. In this paper, we describe a system to support such face-to-face group discussion exercises. The results of the system's in-class trial suggested that it had several benefits.

Practice of subject report revision process following class and learning materials design method based on instructional design

One of the goals of this research is realizing student assistant participation to the learning materials development. In this research, the revision procedure of the subject report was devised as the part of our learning materials design and development method. Following this method, we have revised the subject report by student assistant participation.

In this paper, we describe that we have designed an object-oriented modeling course by blending CMS-based individual learning and face-to-face collaborative learning. Because it is a required course, we take into account the diversity of students' attitude in learning and communications skills and achievements records of learning. Our course design consists of three learning activities namely, (1) individual learning for basic knowledge using a course management system, (2) modeling exercise with group discussion and (3) team modeling practice as collaborative learning. We conducted classes based on the course design and the results showed that the design was effective for students to improve their motivation and to enhance their experience of collaborative development. We also discussed how our design worked based on the analysis of the interview with students.

Development of class and learning materials design tool based on instructional design

The class outline is the design of the whole activities in the class and the "contents outline" focuses especially on the contents. In this paper, we define the class and learning materials design method as a systematic process by making the class outline and the contents outline, and we develop the support tool (COEdit) for this method.

Development of a discussion board system designed for the group discussion that includes peer-review process

Learning by Effective Utilization of Technologies: Facilitating Intercultural Understanding, Proceeding of the 14th International Conference on Computers in Education, ICCE 2006, 2006, In an advanced programming course, teachers can set tasks that students write unique program codes and reports. We included a peer-review process in the group discussion, in which students grade their friends programs and reports. Students can improve their programs and reports because they can compare and discuss their work with each other in the group discussion. However, because students write the graded points in their message in the peer-review process it has been taking a lot of work for teachers to total the points written in the messages. In this paper, we report a development of the discussion board system with some functions designed specially for the group discussion and its application in an advanced programming course.

The case-based approach is one of the most promising technologies for automated evaluation. The key issue in implementing automated evaluation systems by the case-based approach is how we can acquire many evaluation cases and construct rich case-bases. This paper presents a solution to the issue, that is, a framework for sharing evaluation case-bases among instructors. Sharing case-bases promotes enrichment of the case-bases, because case-based evaluation systems obtain new cases through evaluation work, which is the collaboration between human instructors and computer systems. The framework for sharing case-bases is also expected to form the instructors' community and promote communication among instructors.

Methods for adapting case-bases to environments

This paper describes two approaches to solve such problems in the context of case-based reasoning systems. The first one is maintaining descriptions of applicable scopes of cases through generalization and specialization. The generalization is performed to expand problem descriptions, i.e. descriptions of applicable scopes of cases. On the other hand, the specialization is performed to narrow problem descriptions of cases which failed to be applied to given problems with the aim of dealing with environmental changes. The second approach is forgetting, that is deleting obsolete cases from the case-base. However, the domain-dependent knowledge is necessary for testing obsolescence of cases and that causes the problem of knowledge acquisition. We adopt the strategies used by conventional learning systems and extend them using the least domain-dependent knowledge. These two approaches for adapting the case-base to the Environment are evaluated through simulations in the domain of electric power systems.

The proposed algorithm achieved almost the same predictive accuracies as the best results of a CFP algorithm presented by Guvenir and Sirin. However, our algorithm is not affected by parameters and the order of examples.

Forgetting Cases by Restricting Memory

This means that cases which were useful for solving problems in the past often become unsuitable since environmental conditions would change as time passes. To solve such a problem, we have proposed a method of case management based on 'forgetting', which is supposed to imitate the human memory for removing obsolete cases. Though the method is very effective in adapting the case base to the environment, imitating the human memory may not always be the best method. For instance, while the system we implemented extends the term of remembrance of cases which are recalled during solving problems, a strategy which removes those cases is also plausible because a solution of a current problem is saved as a new case to the case base and it can cover for the old case which is utilized in solving the problem. In this paper, we propose a strategy for forgetting cases for a memory-restricted forgetting mechanism which is implemented by defining the size of the case base, i. e. the maximum number of cases is N, and replacing an old case with a new case when the number of cases reached N. We describe three basic strategies for the forgetting mechanism and propose extended forgetting strategies, i. e. ・ combination of the basic strategies and ・ the strategy which uses heuristics. The effectivness of the proposed strategies for improving the performance of case-based reasoning systems is demonstrated through simulations in the electric power systems.

Practice of Flipped Class in the Course of "Information Study"

We conducted flipped classes on constructing a small Web site in the course of Information Study. The flipped classes were characterized by (a) we provided lecture videos to be watched by students before classes and no lecture in the classroom, (b) students worked at assignments in the computer room during classes, (c) students who had not watched lecture videos started their learning activities with watching the lecture videos in the classroom. We compared scores of the assignments between traditional classes and the flipped classes. Design and Implementation of Object-Oriented Modeling Course Blending Individual and Collaborative Learning Activities

情報システムのモデリング演習授業において，個別学習と協調学習を組み合わせた授業を設計し実践した．この授業は学部学生を対象とした必修授業であり，学習に対する姿勢や学力が多様な学生に配慮した授業設計が必要となる．我々が設計した授業では，学習のテーマごとに，基礎知識習得のためのコース管理システムを活用した個別学習と，協調学習としてのグループ討議を含むモデリング練習を実施し，その後，協調学習としてのチームによるモデリング実習を行う．設計した授業を 2008 年度と 2009 年度に実践した．試験結果，学生に対するヒアリング及びアンケート結果を分析した結果，有効性が示された．In this paper, we describe that we have designed an object-oriented modeling course by blending individual and collaborative learning activities. Because it is a required course, we take into account the diversity of students' attitude in learning and academic ability. Our course design consists of three learning activities, that is, (1) individual learning for basic knowledge using a course management system, (2) modeling exercise with group discussion and (3) team modeling practice as collaborative learning. We conducted classes based on the course design in 2008 and 2009. A Method of Giving Advice for Novice Programs Written in Assembly Language

This paper describes a method of giving advice for near-miss programs using a case-based reasoning approach in programming education. A near-miss program is a program that does not run properly but is rather close to correct programs. Two case-based methods of generating advice sentences are proposed ; one is based on similarity to past advice cases and the other is based on the difference from correct programs. In addition to these, a model of giving step-by-step advice is proposed. Based on these ideas, a case-based advice system for a simple assembly language is implemented. Case-based adviser for near-miss programs

This paper describes a method of giving advice for near-miss programs using a case-based reasoning approach in programming education. A near-miss program is a program that does not run properly but is rather close to correct programs. Two case-based methods of generating advice sentences are proposed; one is based on similarity to past advice cases and the other is based on the difference from correct programs. In addition to these, a model of giving step-by-step advice is proposed. Based on these ideas, a case-based advice system for a simple assembly language is implemented. Development of TCP/IP Protocol Learning Tools

This paper describes the design and an implementation of learning tools for TCP/IP protocols. TCP/IP protocols have grown to be fundamental technology for computer networks and the Internet. As a result communication and computer engineers have to learn the protocols. In this paper, we discuss the problems in the TCP/IP course and propose two tools to solve these problems. The first tool is to help with learning communication procedures and data formats of all TCP/IP protocols. We assume that students use the tool after studying the concepts of the protocols. The tool has a packet monitoring function and can display real communication data without special hardware. The second tool is to help with learning control methods. The tool simulates control methods which rarely occur in the real communication and combinations of the control methods. Consequently, students can acquire knowledge and technical skills. This paper presents a method of indexing cases for case-based evaluation assistant systems of novice programs written in an assembly language. Program lists in evaluation cases should be represented in intact target programming language, because special forms of program lists put heavy burdens on teachers who are users of the systems. However, intact forms of program lists cannot cover that many variations. Therefore, indexes to cases should be constructed by using information of generalized program lists in order to expand the variations of program lists covered by one case. We propose a three-level index of evaluation cases. This paper presents a method of implementing an evaluating assistant system that supports teacher's evaluation work of students' programs using case-based reasoning. The evaluating assistant system separated from a program submission environment prerequisite for the assistant system is defined, and a general framework of case-based approach for implementing the evaluating assistant system is proposed. The case-based evaluating assistant system compares a program submitted by a student with evaluation cases in the case-base. If some case matches the program, the system applies the evaluation results on the case to the program. Automated evaluation of novice programs written in assembly language

This paper describes a method of implementing a system which judges whether students' programs are acceptable or not, based on program recognition. The criteria for an acceptable program are that the action and the implementations of the program satisfy requirements of the given problem. The evaluation process of the criteria consists of two sub-processes: first, the action of the student's program is tested with several pairs of data, and then the program is recognized by matching it against programs which were evaluated by the teacher in advance. Forgetting Cases by Restricting Memory

One of the important issues of case-based reasoning is its adaptability for the change of environmental conditions. This means that cases which were useful for solving problems in the past often become unsuitable since environmental conditions would change as time passes. To solve such a problem, we have proposed a method of case management based on 'forgetting', which is supposed to imitate the human memory for removing obsolete cases. Though the method is very effective in adapting the case base to the environment, imitating the human memory may not always be the best method. For instance, while the system we implemented extends the term of remembrance of cases which are recalled during solving problems, a strategy which removes those cases is also plausible because a solution of a current problem is saved as a new case to the case base and it can cover for the old case which is utilized in solving the problem. In this paper, we propose a strategy for forgetting cases for a memory-restricted forgetting mechanism which is implemented by defining the size of the case base, i. e. the maximum number of cases is N, and replacing an old case with a new case when the number of cases reached N. We describe three basic strategies for the forgetting mechanism and propose extended forgetting strategies, i. e. ・ combination of the basic strategies and ・ the strategy which uses heuristics. ルールベース推論(）と事例ベース推論(）の統合によって，より柔軟な推論の実現が期待される．本稿では，ルールと事例を同一の枠組みで扱うルールベース推論と事例ベース推論の統合化モデルを提案する．まず，知識表現の統一を行うために，ルールと事例をフレーム形式で表現し，ルールの条件部と事例の問題記述をLHS，ルールの結論部と事例の解記述をRHSとして表現の統合を図る．また，推論エンジンの統合を行うために，知識の検索，副問題の解決，知識の予備照合による類似度の計算，適用する知識の選択，選択された知識の詳細な照合，知識の適用などの処理から推論エンジンを構成する．推論エンジンはこれらの推論処理を目標駆動で行う．以上のモデルに基づいて実現したシステムの動作例を示し，有用性を示唆した．Flexible reasoning is expected to be implemented by integrating rule-based reasoning(RBR) and case-based reasoning(CBR). This paper presents a model of integrating RBR and CBR which deals with rules and cases on the same framework. It represents rules and cases in the form of frame and integrates their representation by regarding condition parts of rules and problem descriptions of cases as LHS, and regarding result parts of rules and solution descriptions of cases as RHS. The inference engine is also integrated and it is composed of several processes, e.g. knowledge retrieval, solution of sub-problems, pre-matching of knowledge, selection of knowledge, detailed matching and knowledge application. These inference processes are performed by goal-driven reasoning. 汎用的能力評価のための情報システムの開発

日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業, 帝京大学, 基盤研究(C), 本研究では，高等教育における汎用的能力の評価のための情報システムを開発し，実際にシステムを実装して有用性を検証することを目的としている.評価のための情報システムは，基本システムとオプション機能に分けて開発することとし，2021年度までに基本システムの開発を行い，情報電子工学科の複数の授業，および3年生と4年生のワークショップで使用して有用性を確認した.本研究で開発するオプション機能について検討を行い，授業でニーズの高い学生間の相互評価機能を開発することとした.この相互評価機能を設計し，一部の開発を進めた. また，2022年度は，汎用的能力の評価を目的とした本システムであるが，コンピテンシーの自己評価にも利用できる可能性について検証した．具体的には，奈良看護協会における災害看護研修を企画・実施している研究チームと連携して，災害看護コンピテンシーの自己評価において本システムを活用した．災害看護コンピテンシーは，ibstpi(R)の教育専門職やオンライン学習者のコンピテンシー標準を参考にドメイン，コンピテンシー，行動記述の3層構造で表現されている．奈良看護協会における2022年度の災害看護研修はeラーニングと対面研修から成り，eラーニングによる学習前後に本システムを用いたコンピテンシーの自己評価を行った．研修後の受講者へのアンケートやヒアリングにより，本システムが ibstpi(R)のコンピテンシーモデルによって表現されたコンピテンシーの自己評価において有効に機能することが示された．一方で，本システムをスマートフォンから利用する際に使いやすさの点で課題があることがわかった． 開発したシステムは階層構造を持つルーブリックを評価指標として自己評価を行えるシステムであるので，汎用的能力に限定されない活用が期待されることを実証できた．, 20K03075

Development of the interactive learning materials for flipped classroom and the viewer application for them

Support for Writing and Updating Teaching Portfolios in a Long-term Perspective

First, we related components of a TP to daily educational activities. Second, we listed up feasible ways of the support by considering preparations and tasks of updates with respect to each reason of the updates. Based on the consideration, we proposed a tool to organize information of daily educational activities and implemented the tool as a web system using GAS(Google Apps Script). The tool has functions of reposition, retrieval, browse and e-mail reminder. We conducted trial uses of the tool. The results suggested the following: (1)Describing educational activities at a detail level will be to clarify and organize teaching methods of the teacher.(2)Sharing of the descriptions among teachers will be helpful for their course design.These show that the tool may lead to awareness of the PDCA cycle of educational activities., 16K01131

Development of the communication support tool which realize both virtual roles and real positions in PBL

We found some problems in this class. One of the main problems is that the third-year undergraduate PMs (3yPMs) tend to decide specifications of the Web system without hearing opinions from the client. Moreover, at times they have been known to just ask the teacher to provide them with the answer. This study aims to promote communication between the 3yPMs and the client so that 3yPMs exchange appropriate information with the client and understand the needs of the client. To address this issue, the role-playing situation and the communication support tool are introduced. These are expected to act as scaffolds for effective communication. Study on Generic Description of Course Design using ICT Based on the Concept of "Learning Design"

Development of the undergraduate course materials for critical thinking practice based on ICT

Education and qualitative requirements of teachers were more important and fundamental than relying on formal methodology such as core curriculum, to introduce actively critical thinking into classes. Teachers' questioning, recitation and showing related cases were deemed effective even without new knowledge, to encourage students' critical thinking. The remote-testing system that we suggested received a positive reputation from more than half of the students, even though some students felt the anxiety and the technical limitations. The author summarized teaching critical thinking materials for teachers as a book. In addition, the author also arranged another text book to which students put together a collection of examples for other students to understand critical thinking. Development of Learning Management System to Support Exercise with Face to Face Group Discussion

Improved motivation levels, and other beneficial effects, were observed in participants following their completion of discussion exercises. In this research, we developed a face-to-face group discussion support system (GDS), which cooperates with LMS of the university. GDS has functions of management of exercise problems and users, automated group generation, management of start and end time of group discussions, viewing the worksheet and entering feedback and so on. Development of a Discussion Board Tool Designed for the Collaborative Learning that Includes Peer-Review Process

We have designed a model of a group discussion which includes peer-review process in which students show their products (programs and reports) to each other, review their products, and improve their products' perfection. However, because the discussion function of CMS tools doesn't have the grading function, it is very difficult to perform our discussion model using it. We have developed the discussion board system with some functions designed specially for the group discussion. The procedures in our group discussion model are as follows. (1) hand in programs and reports, (2) review the other members' programs and reports to each other, (3) respond to the evaluation, improve their programs by referring the comments, and discuss about them again, and (4) hand in the final version. We have implemented some functions to perform the group discussion. On the discussion board system, students can : (1) hand in their products, and (2) evaluate their products to each other. We have implemented the function to total the student's evaluation result, so that teachers can reduce their work to total them. In addition, we make discussion board that students can discuss on their product by a revealing name or by anonym it, and make it un-open to the other students until they finish their evaluations. Various peer-reviews and the discussions were able to be managed by using these functions. The research of the agent who automatically applies the comment to the content of the students' remarks are done based on the discussion board tools made in this research, and there is a possibility of developing in the future., 18500730

TCP/IP protocols have grown to be fundamental technology for computer networks and the Internet. As a result communication and computer engineers have to learn the protocols. We discuss the problems in the TCP/IP course and propose two tools to solve these problems. The first tool is to help with learning communication procedures and data formats of all TCP/IP protocols. The tool has a packet monitoring function and can display real communication data without special hardware. The second tool is to help with learning control methods. The tool simulates control methods which rarely occur in the real communication and combinations of the control methods. We evaluated the tools through practical use in actual classes. Case-Based Advice System for Novice Programs Written in Assembly Language

Our target programs for the advice are called near-miss programs. A near-miss program is a program that does not run properly but is rather close to correct programs. We proposed a model of giving step-by-step advice. That is, the advice system gives small hints at first and then gives more hints or detailed advice later as needed. Students will gain more confidence when they solve problems with small hints than in cases where they got detailed advice. We also proposed two case-based methods of generating advice sentences. The first method is to generate advice sentences based on the similarity to advice cases, which include a near-miss program as a problem description and advice sentences on the program as a solution description. The second method is advice generation based on the difference between the target near-miss program and a correct program. There are many correct programs in evaluation case-bases of the evaluation assistant system we already implemented. Based on these ideas, we implemented a case-based advice system for a simple assembly language CASL II. The system had been utilized in actual classes and the results suggested that the case-based advice system was useful. In particular, we found that the difference-based method was very useful. Advice sentences were presented by the difference-based method even if case-bases were empty at first, because the difference-based method uses evaluation cases which are added to the case-base automatically when teachers evaluate students' submitted programs., 14580428

Touch-type Training System Using Recognition of Eye Direction

事例ベース推論によるプログラム評価のためのアセンブラプログラムの一般化と特殊化

(1)前年度提案した事例ベース構築法の評価:前年度の検討で,「事例中のプログラムリストは一般化表現でなく,具体的なプログラムリストのままの方がよい」という結論に至り,プログラムリストの一般化表現を事例ベースのインデックスに反映させることとした.この方針に従い,前年度のうちに階層構造のインデックスをもつ事例ベース構築法を提案し,実装した.今年度は,まず,この手法と事例ベースをフラットに構築する方法について,過去の授業で出題した問題とそれに対して学生が提出したCASLプログラム17セットを用いて,事例ベース検索・構築実験を行い,利用可能な事例が検索できた割合(事例ベース活用率)を評価した.その結果,前年度提案した手法は,事例ベース活用率が平均的にはフラットな事例ベースよりも高いが,17セット中3セットについては,フラットな事例ベースの方が高かった. (2)事例ベース構築法の改良:前年度提案した手法がフラットな事例ベースよりも事例ベース活用率が低くなる原因を分析し,改良を施した.主な原因は,その命令の有無に関わらずプログラムの動作に影響しないような命令(冗長命令)の扱い方にあったが,事例インデックスの上位階層での検索条件を緩めることで対処することができた. (3)今年度提案した事例ベース構築法の評価:改良した事例ベース構築法について,過去の授業で収集した17セットのCASLプログラム群と今年度の授業で収集したCASLIIプログラム群14セットを用いて実験を行った.その結果,今年度提案した手法では,フラットな事例ベースに比較して,CASL,CASLIIとも事例ベース活用率が,10%程度向上した.また,全てのセットについて,フラットな事例ベースの活用率を下回ることはなかった.これらのことから,提案した事例ベース構築法が,初等アセンブラプログラミング評価支援において有効であることが,示された., 12780293

Research on Automated Evaluation of Novice Programs Written in Assembly Language

We also evaluated the implemented system. (1) The method of automated program evaluation : The proposed method to perform the evaluation tasks consists of two processes : (a) evaluating the program's action and (b) evaluating the implementation by case-based reasoning. We worked out methods of case representation, case-based reasoning processes, and program-matching processes. (2) Implementation of evaluating assistant system : The implemented system consists of a server, a client for students and a client for teachers. The client system for students has a function of evaluating the program's action. A function of evaluating programs by case-based reasoning is implemented as CGI programs on the server. We implemented the first version in 1999 and improved it with the second version 2000. In the first version of the system, the program lists were represented in the generalized form. On the other hand, program lists in cases are intact and indexes to cases are constructed by using information of generalized program lists in the second version. We also implemented an editor and a simple database system for the problem information, because teachers need to prepare the problem information in order to use the evaluating assistant system. (3) System evaluation : The implemented assistant system was utilized for actual classes of the CPU and assembly language course at Teikyo University in 1999 and 2000. The judgment accuracy, which is defined as a ratio of the same judgment between the assistant system and the teachers, was about 99%. Target programs for evaluating by teachers are reduced to about 10% to 30% depend on the problems. 日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 奨励研究(A), 帝京大学, 奨励研究(A), これまでの検討で,環境変化に適応するための事例ベース管理法として,一般化・特殊化による方法と,忘却による方法がそれぞれ有効であることが分かっている.特に,事例修正機能を含まない場合は,一般化・特殊化による方法が有効であり,事例修正機能を含む場合は,事例の信頼度に着目した忘却の手法が有効であった.また,2つの手法を単に組合わせた場合,もとの手法の中間的な性能を示すことも確かめている. 本年度の研究では,もとの2つの手法を超える性質を示すような相乗効果を持つ統合化手法を実現するという高い目標をかかげ,いくつかのアイディアを,電力系統事故時復旧問題を対象としたシミュレーションによって評価を行ったが,相乗効果を示すような統合化手法を確立するには至らなかった.現時点では,事例ベース管理の目的に応じて一般化・特殊化による方法,忘却による方法,それらの組合わせを使い分けるのが最善と考えられる. 本研究の主目的は達成するに至らなかったが,研究遂行において,以下のような新しい視点を得た.すなわち,これまで事例の自動修正が可能なドメインでの事例ベース管理を対象としてきたが,事例の修正を人間が行うようなドメインについても検討を行う必要がある.システムが事例を修正する場合は修正方法が一定であるが,人間が修正を行う場合は,修正方法が一定していないなど,このようなドメインでは,事例の修正方法,解の適切さの尺度さえも環境変化の影響を受け得るためである.今後,これらについて検討したい., 10780244

忘却と一般化による事例ベースの洗練化に関する研究

日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 奨励研究(A), 帝京大学, 奨励研究(A), 1.事例一般化による洗練化手法と忘却による洗練化手法の比較 まず,一般化・特殊化による事例ベースの洗練化手法として,事例の解を修正すること無しに問題に適用できた場合に事例の一般化を行ない、事例の適用に失敗した場合に事例の特殊化を行うシステムを作成した.また,忘却による洗練化手法として,事例ベースに登録する事例数を制限し,新事例登録の際には既存の事例を1つ忘却するシステムを作成した.忘却する事例を選択するいくつかの戦略を実験により比較し,事例の信頼度と新事例との距離に基づいて事例を忘却する戦略が有効であることがわかった.一般化による方法と忘却による方法を実験的に比較した結果,事例の修正プロセスまで含めた問題解決においては,忘却による方法の方が最適解の割合は高く,事例修正プロセスを含めない問題解決においては一般化による方法の方が高い最適解の割合を示した.また,問題解決時の事例検索機能の戦略を変えて実験を行ったところ,忘却による方法は事例検索戦略の違いの影響を受けるのに対して,一般化による方法は検索戦略の違いに比較的ロバストであることが明らかになった. 2.一般化と忘却の組合わせによる洗練化手法の検討 上で述べた一般化による洗練化手法と事例数制限による忘却手法は容易に組合わせることができるため,これらを組合わせたシステムを作成し,実験を行った.最適解の割合に着目して評価すると,組合わせたシステムはもとの2つのシステムの中間的な性能を示した.2つの手法を組合わせることにより,もとの手法を越えるような相乗効果はなかった.一般化と忘却の組合わせについてはさらに検討が必要である., 08780378

事例ベース推論における忘却に基づく事例の一般化に関する研究

日本学術振興会, 科学研究費助成事業 奨励研究(A), 帝京大学, 奨励研究(A), 1.基本的な忘却アルゴリズムの設計と評価 まず,事例単位の忘却と属性単位の忘却(忘却に基づく条件削除による一般化)を行う事例管理モデルを設計した.印象と呼ぶ記憶強度を定義して,1回の問題解決を1単位時間とし,1単位時間が経過する度に記憶強度を弱める一方で,問題解決時にアクセスした事例や属性の印象を強化する.そして,印象が0になった事例や属性を削除することにより忘却機能を実現した.しかし,このままでは出現頻度は低いが必要な事例も忘却されてしまい,システムの性能が低下することが明らかになった.そこで、領域知識を用いて,事例空間を分割することにより,その空間内の事例は必ず一つは残す手法を忘却機構に組み入れた.このような忘却機構を持つ事例ベース推論システムを実現し,電力系統事故時復旧の分野でシミュレーションを行った結果,単純に事例を登録するシステムに対して,事例ベースを10%の大きさに抑え,さらに事例修正数を大幅に減らしたことから,環境変化への対応が達成された.これらの結果は論文誌に投稿中である. 2.忘却アルゴリズムへの一般化規則の導入とその評価 次に基本的な忘却アルゴリズムに区間閉塞化規則と代替案追加規則を導入した.環境変化が伴う場合,事例を一般化するだけでなく,事例を特殊化することも必要であるので,正負の事例を蓄え,より新しい符号の異なる事例を用いて既存の事例を特殊化する手法を設計した.この手法では,事例の忘却に基づく一般化により,類似性に基づく一般化が促進される.このような考え方に基づくシステムを作成し,同様に電力系統事故時復旧の分野でシミュレーションを行ったところ,事例ベースの大きさを1.の結果の80%程度に抑制できた.これは,1.で忘却により小さくなった事例ベースがさらに忘却に基づく一般化によってコンパクト化されたことを示している.解の品質については同等であった., 06780338
